How long will it take to get my photos back?

I think this is my most asked question. I have a guaranteed turn around time of 2-3 weeks. Depending on the time of year, this can vary greatly. For instance, fall is my CRAZY time of year - it is family session season, mixed in with all the other craziness. As your photographer, I graciously ask that you keep in mind that I do more in life, than sit at my computer and edit. For my overall health and dedication to other aspects of my life (being a mama, wife, etc.), I limit my editing time to 3-4 hours daily. I usually spend at least 12 hours editing a single session. If you are in a rush in receiving your images, I can do so for you, with a rushed fee on top of your session fee. If this is your desire, please reach out for further details.

How many photos will I get back?

Do you give back the RAW images?

For the first part of the question, please refer to my pricing guides. I easily outshoot my guaranteed image standard for most shoots, but I aim to always give sessions 75+ images (excluding weddings). Weddings will greatly vary depending on the amount of time that I am shooting your big day.

The second half of this question…UGH. Y’all, if I could tell you one thing to NEVER ask a photographer, it would be this. I don’t know a single professional photographer who releases their RAW images. When hiring a photographer, especially a specific photographer, you are trusting THAT photographer to properly and beautifully capture your images with their editing style. Every photographer has a different editing style. I would advise all my clients to make sure you love my style before booking, as I will not defer from my editing style when editing your images (I consider my images warm, saturated and inviting). Pleaseeeeeee do not ask me this. XO

Do you deliver every image you shoot?

Do you determine poses, positioning, etc.?

For any given session, I will always shoot an exaggerated amount of photos, as do most photographers. Particularly with me being more of a candid photographer, I have to take 20 images in a 3 second window, to get that ONE perfect shot. So, the simple answer is no, you will not get every image. I would guess that it wouldn’t be something desired. I can promise, that I will never NOT give you an amazing image from your session, nor would I not pick the best quality images to edit. With you choosing me as your photographer, you are trusting ME to give you what YOU are hoping for. I can promise you that you won’t be disappointed if you trust me.

I get asked this one a lot surprisingly. Yes, I will guide you through the whole session. All you have to do is show up, smiling and ready to go (even if smiles are absent, I have tricks to bring those about too! hehe)
